Overview & core gameplay

Platform: Mobile / touchscreen with 3D world-space interaction. A static 3D watermelon mesh sits at the center of a red background, and the player taps it directly in the viewport.

Each tap raycasts against the watermelon’s 3D Collider, increments the Watermelon Count by one, updates the UI, plays a fruit-touch sound, and checks achievement progress. The watermelon performs a bounce-and-juice animation through scale and squash, without changing the mesh itself.

3D touch logic
ON_TOUCH_3D_OBJECT(Watermelon_3D_Mesh) → Play_Animation(Watermelon_Bounce_Juice) → Watermelon_Count += 1 → Update_UI_Text → Play_Audio → Check_Achievement_Status

Achievement system

The system tracks total taps and moral decisions to unlock badges and gameplay rewards:

  • First Harvest: tap the 3D watermelon once to unlock SFX_Pop_Basic.
  • Generous Gardener: share 50 watermelons with villagers to unlock the Kindness Badge and the “Friend of the Village” title.
  • Honest Farmer: return the Golden Watermelon to the garden keeper to unlock a Golden Watermelon material or texture swap.
  • Master Touch: reach 1,000 taps to unlock Auto-Tapper and a Deeds Progress Boost.

Sharing event — “Feed the Village”

After every 50 watermelon taps, a village child NPC appears. Players may donate 20 watermelons if their inventory is sufficient; doing so removes 20 watermelons, gives 15 Kindness Score, and triggers the Generous Gardener achievement. Keeping the fruit gives no Kindness Score.

3D art & technical specifications

The central asset is a static 3D watermelon model, supplied as Watermelon_Mesh.fbx or .obj, with a realistic or stylized texture map and material. A Mesh Collider or Sphere Collider is attached to the object. A perspective Main Camera focuses on the watermelon, while the Canvas UI Overlay displays the Touch's WaterMelon header and player progress.

Audio & data

Unity’s built-in AudioSource handles spatial 3D fruit-pop sounds and a victory melody for achievement unlocks. PlayerPrefs or a custom save system stores the player’s achievement progress and total tap count locally.

DESIGN INTENT

Transform repeated tapping into visible progress, while making generosity a meaningful route to achievement.
